Description
The aroma of the dry leaf is quite malty and slightly floral. There are also notes of sweet dried fruit.
The brewed tea is sweet and malty. There are also notes of rich baked sweet potato, caramel, and a slight citrus finish. It is very round and well balanced. The low tannin content gives a very low astringency to the tea. The aroma evokes images of freshly baking bread slathered in plum jam.
This tea is perfect alone; milk and sweetener can be added if desired. It has a medium body and would go well in the morning or any time in the afternoon.
This tea pairs well with fresh baked bread, or homemade oatmeal in the morning. Great with rich tea biscuits for an afternoon sip.
